Too Hot To Stamp!!
By
Well my friends I don’t know how the weather was today in your neck of the woods, but here in Massachusetts it was too hot to stamp! The temperature hit over 95, and I am definitely NOT a heat lover. Needless to say Michael and I spent half the day installing air-conditioners in each bedroom so the kids will sleep tonight!! Now I am a happy camper!
Here is a card created with my favorite stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog, “Sassy Suzie”. It was inspired by a card I found on Splitcoaststampers. Definitely a quick and easy!
The card base is Pumpkin Pie Card stock and the Greeting is stamped in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink. The Card stock strip is a 1″x5 1/2″ piece of Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper (DSP) layered over a 1 1/4″x5 1/2″ piece of Real Red. Chocolate Chip Poly-Twill Ribbon is tied around the strip before it is adhered to the card base.
Suzie is stamped with StazOn and colored with Stampin’ Write Markers: Blush Blossom, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, So Saffron, Bashful Blue, and Cameo Coral. I colored her hair with Close to Cocoa first, then added streaks with Chocolate Chip and softened it all up with a Blender Pen. Suzie is punched out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch and adhered to a Real Red Scallop Circle. The main image is adhered to the card base with my favorite accessory, Dimensionals.
I absolutely love this stamp set! Make sure to check it out in the online Mini Catalog. Sassy Suzie is only available until the end of this month, so if you would like to own Suzie and create some hysterical cards for family and friends, contact me to place your order today!
Have a great night, and stay cool…Happy Stamping!
