Sketch Challenge SC159

I finally had a chance to finish my Challenge card! My son is finally taking a nap today!!! Yeah!

Wednesday’s Challenge on Splitcoast each week is a Card Sketch Challenge (SC159) follow the link to view the sketch and instructions on how to complete the challenge! It’s a lot of fun! Here is my card:

The second I saw this sketch I knew what I wanted to do with it, just didn’t have the time. But here it is! I hope you like it. I finally was able to play with the Ginger Blossom DSP and Tombow Mutli Adhesive!

The card base is Ruby Red (4 1/4″ x 11). The edges of the Ginger Blossom DSP is sponged with Ruby Red and layered on River Rock Card Stock. Groovy Guava Double-stitched Ribbon is tied around this layer and then it is adhered to the card base.

I stamped the mouse from the Happy Heart day stamp set (isn’t he so cute!) with Black StazOn, on Very Vanilla Card Stock. The mouse is colored with Sahara Sand, Ruby Red, and Blush Blossom Stampin’ Write Markers. The Heart was colored using a Blender Pen and Groovy Guava! Again, I sponged the outside of the Very Vanilla Card Stock with Ruby Red. This is layered on River Rock, and Ruby Red Card Stock. This main image was attached to the card base using Dimensionals.

I was also able to play with another one of my favorites….Dazzling Diamonds! I added a little drop of Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive to the center of the flower, and sprinkled on the Dazzling Diamonds. I will admit, I was a little nervous at first that it wouldn’t look right because the adhesive came out white, but it dried clear and I LOVE IT!
