Happy Easter!

By Jen

I wish all of you a wonderful Easter! I just finished decorating eggs with my kids. This was the first year that Kevin was able to help dye the eggs (he will be 2 years old in April). He thought it was the coolest thing! I helped Kaitlin and Emma add Rub-ons to their eggs. We used the Love and Happiness rub-ons from Sale-a-bration. The girls love to decorate with butterflies and flowers so these rub-ons were perfect! I can’t wait to see them searching for eggs tomorrow, they always have so much fun with our little egg hunt.

Since I can’t send each and every one of you an Easter card, I will share one with you here instead. I absolutely love the stamp set “A good egg”. Unfortunately I have been so busy over the past two months that I have not had time to play around with it. However, here is a swap I received at my last upline meeting. This swap was designed by Kathy White. Kathy is another Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. I just think this would make the sweetest Easter card!

Stampin' up! A Good EggThe card base is pretty in pink, with flowers stamped using whisper white craft ink. “You crack me up” is stamped with certainly celery on Whisper White Cardstock and punched using the word window punch. Certainly Celery Grosgrain ribbon is wrapped around the center of the card base. The little chick is stamped with Black StazOn and colored with Barely Banana and Pumpkin Pie. His egg is stamped twice on Pretty in Pink Designer Series Prints Paper and cut out with paper snips. This Designer Series Paper comes from the Level One Hostess Benefits “Prints Pack”. Kathy attached the top half of the egg using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! A Good EggThe little flower in the corner is created with Boho Punched flowers in So Saffron and Pretty in Pink Cardstock. They are layered and accented with a certainly celery brad. The main image is layered onto So Saffron Cardstock.

I am sorry I didn’t elaborate to much on the instructions for this card, but I have to go clean and get ready for the “Easter Bunny”!

Happy Easter!
