Circle Circus

Posted by: Jen | Comments (0)

Life has been a circus lately! We had so much fun in Virginia that I really didn’t have any time to blog at all. So I decided to just enjoy the time off…good thing I did because on our way home we got stranded in Maryland for three days while my car was fixed, we came home to cat urine on my daughter’s bed(bought her a new one), the cat lost part of his tail (don’t know what happened with that?), the washing machine broke (I fixed it), and with all the stress I had a stiff neck for the past few days!!! Now that things are getting back to normal I am hoping to get back into blogging every day this month…

Stampin' Up!Circle CircusSo, for my first blog post this month I would like to share with you  a make-n-take from my “New Catalog Open House” on the 1st, which was supposed to be posted here before I went on vacation. This card was inspired by a card created by Dorothy Cates.

The card base is Basic Black, layered with Rich Razzleberry, and black again. Each layer is ¼” shorter than the one below. The main whisper white layer is stamped randomly using Staz On Ink (Staz On prevents bleeding when coloring with markers). The small circles are colored in using the NEW Rich Razzleberry Marker.

Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon was tied around the Whisper White layer. The greeting was stamped with Rich Razzlebery ink on whisper White Card stock and punched out with the Small Oval Punch, and layered over a Basic Black Large Oval. This was adhered to the finished card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

That’s it! This is a very quick and easy card and a very versatile stamp set…I can’t wait to show you the other make-n-take!

If you would like to recreate these projects…here is the recipe:

Stamps: Circle Circus, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry
Ink: Staz On, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon, Small Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Dimensional, SNAIL Adhesive, Rich Razzleberry Stamp n Write Marker

Hi Everyone!

Here it is, my new website….This site is a work in progress right now, so you will see many changes to this site over the next few weeks, but I am so happy with the way it looks so far :)

Right now I am anxiously awaiting for the UPS truck to come down the street with my most recent order which includes ALL NEW PRODUCT FROM THE 2009-2010 CATALOG AND A COPY OF THE NEW CATALOG!! I am dying right now to see what is in the new catalog! Demonstrators have never been able to see the catalog this early before!

I am sorry I don’t have a new project to post right now, but I am hoping to post later today or tomorrow with at least one project with new products! I am rellay writing this post to test out feed subscriptions. So, if you are receiving this update through a feed reader please comment to this post so I know the subscriptions are working. I transferred all subscriptions from the previous typapd site to this site and I need to make sure everything is working correctly.

And…if you aren’t subscribed to this blog’s feed, feel free to click on the subscribe button in the sidebar so you don’t miss what’s next!!

Stampin' Up! New Products!

My order is here! Actually it arrived on Thursday, but I have been so busy playing and preparing for my open houses that I haven’t stopped. Do you want to see what is inside?

The SIZZIX BIG SHOT!!!

Stampin' Up! New Sizzix Big Shot!

That’s Right! Starting September 2nd you will be able to purchase this product from ME!  YEAH! This was announced at Convention. You should have heard 6,000 demonstrators screaming at the top of their lungs and jumping up and down! We have been waiting for something like this for a long time. I personally don’t buy anything that is not Stampin’ Up! I always thought the die-cuts and embossing folders were really cool, but if I can’t endorse it I don’t buy it. Now I can!!

There will also be a selection of Stampin’ Up! exclusive dies that will create amazing 3D projects and coordinate with some of our stamp sets! I hope you will be excited as I am. I purchased the starter kit (I will share specifics another day) and a few extra items to play with as well.

As soon as I opened the box, my girls were ready and willing to start playing with mommy’s new toy! My girls are 7 and 5, so I thought I would try showing them how to use it and see just how easy this thing is to use. Well, they had a great time and so did I! The Big Shot is so easy to use, I couldn’t believe it. I am also an Occupational Therapist and most of my former patients suffering from arthritis or Carpal Tunnel can’t use other Die-Cut machines, but the Big Shot is definitely something I would recommend for them!

Stampin' Up! New Products!I did pick up a few other goodies as well. A new scallop square punch, glassy glaze embossing powder, love notes, a new wheel for Halloween (wait until you see what I plan to do with that), and two hostess sets. One of the good things about getting a Big Shot and Dies from SU! is the FREE Hostess Products you get along with it!

Stampin' Up! New ProductsI also ordered the supplies I need to finish my Sister-In-Law’s wedding invitations. I am making 140 pocketfold invitations. I am really excited and can’t wait to show them to you. After both open houses I will post some pictures of the invitation so you can tell me what you think.

I’ll be back to stamping soon. I can’t wait to really dig into all of my new products. Have you seen the new catalog yet? If not contact me at jenfoley@inkspiredcreations.com and I can send one to you. There is so much to see!

Happy Stamping!
