New Catalog Kick Off

Posted by: | Comments (0)

This weekend I officially introduced the new catalog to some of my hostesses and customers from the past year.

Stampin' Up! New Catalog PartyMy husband took the kids out for the afternoon both Saturday and Sunday, so that I could have the run of the house. Although, I could have used him to man the grill on Saturday! (I made lunch for my 1st Annual Hostess Cookout) He does most of the grilling in the house, so needless to say my burgers were a little overcooked..LOL!

Besides overcooked Burgers, everything went very well, and I am very tired! : ) Everyone received FREE catalogs and a couple other gifts from me. I wanted everyone to have samples of the new In-Colors, so I made little sample packs tied together with ribbon and added a tag made with a 20th Anniversary Embosslit in the Big Shot. The basket in the back was also a “Big Shot” project. I used the Baskets and Blooms Die that I just had to have, and created little baskets with Stampin’ Up! Maine Blueberry Paper. Each little basket contained a little stamp and was given to everyone who placed an order that day.

Stampin' Up! New Catalog PartyMy entire house was filled with swaps from convention. This was the display on my dinning room hutch. I had so much fun lining up all the swaps around the room. I wish I could decorate with my swaps all the time.  Maybe when the kids get a little older!

Of course there were Make-N-Takes! Sunday all of my wonderful customers made an In-Color Calendar Bookmark, to use with their new catalog.

Stampin' Up! New In-colors 2008-2009On Saturday, my hostesses made the mini- scrapbook that I made at Convention. You can view the scrapbook in the post below (Convention Make-N-Takes). I willl be posting more about Convention real soon. I don’t have all my pictures yet. My wonderful friend Gwynne offered to take everyone’s pictures and put them on a CD for each person who went to Convention in our group. I realized after I came home that I didn’t have any pictures from Day 2 and 3! After I see her next week I will have a lot more pictures to show you. I promise!

Everyone loved the new catalog. It seems like each one gets better and better! If you would like you very own copy of this catalog, contact me at jenfoley@inkspiredcreations.com

Stampin' Up! New Products!

My order is here! Actually it arrived on Thursday, but I have been so busy playing and preparing for my open houses that I haven’t stopped. Do you want to see what is inside?

The SIZZIX BIG SHOT!!!

Stampin' Up! New Sizzix Big Shot!

That’s Right! Starting September 2nd you will be able to purchase this product from ME!  YEAH! This was announced at Convention. You should have heard 6,000 demonstrators screaming at the top of their lungs and jumping up and down! We have been waiting for something like this for a long time. I personally don’t buy anything that is not Stampin’ Up! I always thought the die-cuts and embossing folders were really cool, but if I can’t endorse it I don’t buy it. Now I can!!

There will also be a selection of Stampin’ Up! exclusive dies that will create amazing 3D projects and coordinate with some of our stamp sets! I hope you will be excited as I am. I purchased the starter kit (I will share specifics another day) and a few extra items to play with as well.

As soon as I opened the box, my girls were ready and willing to start playing with mommy’s new toy! My girls are 7 and 5, so I thought I would try showing them how to use it and see just how easy this thing is to use. Well, they had a great time and so did I! The Big Shot is so easy to use, I couldn’t believe it. I am also an Occupational Therapist and most of my former patients suffering from arthritis or Carpal Tunnel can’t use other Die-Cut machines, but the Big Shot is definitely something I would recommend for them!

Stampin' Up! New Products!I did pick up a few other goodies as well. A new scallop square punch, glassy glaze embossing powder, love notes, a new wheel for Halloween (wait until you see what I plan to do with that), and two hostess sets. One of the good things about getting a Big Shot and Dies from SU! is the FREE Hostess Products you get along with it!

Stampin' Up! New ProductsI also ordered the supplies I need to finish my Sister-In-Law’s wedding invitations. I am making 140 pocketfold invitations. I am really excited and can’t wait to show them to you. After both open houses I will post some pictures of the invitation so you can tell me what you think.

I’ll be back to stamping soon. I can’t wait to really dig into all of my new products. Have you seen the new catalog yet? If not contact me at jenfoley@inkspiredcreations.com and I can send one to you. There is so much to see!

Happy Stamping!

Convention Check-in Day Continued…

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Stampin' Up! Convention BagYesterday I said I would post a picture of my new Stampin’ Up! messenger bag from Convention, so here it is…

Isn’t it beautiful? If you look closely, you will see Shelli’s signature. Yes, I did get a picture with her and I will spill all the details about that another day.   : )

Our bags were filled with three new stamp sets that we used for our make-n-take projects, and our spiral bound Fall-Winter Catalog!! If I have not told you yet, the Designer paper and Simply Scrappin’ Kits are amazing. I was really worried when they retired every DSP and Scrappin’ Kit, but SU! really outdid themselves with what is offered in this catalog. I will not give away all the details, but I was most excited that there are several packages of DSP that are masculine designs!! I really think we needed that, Thanks SU!

Stampin' Up! RivertonBack to Convention… After Bag Pickup and Momento Mall I went on a tour of the Stampin’ Up! Riverton Campus. First of all let me just tell you that I would move to Utah in a heartbeat to work there!!! OMG, working for SU! has got to be the best job ever! Here I have a not so great picture of the waterfall in the entrance to the facility. This is were many employees take their breaks and have lunch. This shot was from up above, would have been better if I had a chance to go downstairs, but I didn’t have enough time.

Stampin' Up! RivertonThere is also a creativity room. This room is for employees to hang out relax and explore there own creativity. I am sure they don’t spend the entire day in this room, probably just break time. However, the room is nicely furnished with over-sized bean bag chairs, a pool table, and ping pong table! There is also a cabinet set up with stamping supplies galore!

Stampin' Up! RivertonCheck out this wall. I want you to think for a second at how this image makes you feel? When I walked into this room, this was the first wall I noticed. I felt calm, happy, secure, and inspired. I would love to go to work everyday and feel those emotions first thing! Shelli has created an amazing work environment, I wish my house was set up to evoke those emotions!! : )

Stampin' Up! RivertonThe distribution center is just as immaculate as all other areas in this facility! Have you ever seen a warehouse as clean and clutter free as this!

The Legacy Room was the next stop on our self-guided tour. This room tells the history of Stampin’ Up! with some great pictures and stories over the last 20 years. There are a few pics I definitely want to show you! Here are some displays that were used to create pictures for various catalogs.

Recognize this picture? This was children’s platroom featured in a recent catalog.

Stampin' Up! Playroom

This is the Tart-n-Tangy Room!

Stampin' Up! Tart and Tangy Room

I want a bedroom like this one! Check out the Decor Elements!

Stampin' Up! Manhattan Flowers Bedroom

Isn’t this the calmest baby room! I love the colors. And look at the designs up above…I am thinking this might be NEW Decor Elements coming soon. This is not definite, just my guess.

Stampin' Up! Baby Room

The Crew…Some of my friends! You guys rock! Tiz, Kathy, Barbara, Judy, and I.

Stampin' Up! Photo Opp

There were other parts of the tour that the pics didn’t come out so well. Sorry guys! I hope you enjoyed visiting the Riverton Campus today!

Happy Stamping!
