Convention Check-in Day Continued…

Stampin' Up! Convention BagYesterday I said I would post a picture of my new Stampin’ Up! messenger bag from Convention, so here it is…

Isn’t it beautiful? If you look closely, you will see Shelli’s signature. Yes, I did get a picture with her and I will spill all the details about that another day.   : )

Our bags were filled with three new stamp sets that we used for our make-n-take projects, and our spiral bound Fall-Winter Catalog!! If I have not told you yet, the Designer paper and Simply Scrappin’ Kits are amazing. I was really worried when they retired every DSP and Scrappin’ Kit, but SU! really outdid themselves with what is offered in this catalog. I will not give away all the details, but I was most excited that there are several packages of DSP that are masculine designs!! I really think we needed that, Thanks SU!

Stampin' Up! RivertonBack to Convention… After Bag Pickup and Momento Mall I went on a tour of the Stampin’ Up! Riverton Campus. First of all let me just tell you that I would move to Utah in a heartbeat to work there!!! OMG, working for SU! has got to be the best job ever! Here I have a not so great picture of the waterfall in the entrance to the facility. This is were many employees take their breaks and have lunch. This shot was from up above, would have been better if I had a chance to go downstairs, but I didn’t have enough time.

Stampin' Up! RivertonThere is also a creativity room. This room is for employees to hang out relax and explore there own creativity. I am sure they don’t spend the entire day in this room, probably just break time. However, the room is nicely furnished with over-sized bean bag chairs, a pool table, and ping pong table! There is also a cabinet set up with stamping supplies galore!

Stampin' Up! RivertonCheck out this wall. I want you to think for a second at how this image makes you feel? When I walked into this room, this was the first wall I noticed. I felt calm, happy, secure, and inspired. I would love to go to work everyday and feel those emotions first thing! Shelli has created an amazing work environment, I wish my house was set up to evoke those emotions!! : )

Stampin' Up! RivertonThe distribution center is just as immaculate as all other areas in this facility! Have you ever seen a warehouse as clean and clutter free as this!

The Legacy Room was the next stop on our self-guided tour. This room tells the history of Stampin’ Up! with some great pictures and stories over the last 20 years. There are a few pics I definitely want to show you! Here are some displays that were used to create pictures for various catalogs.

Recognize this picture? This was children’s platroom featured in a recent catalog.

This is the Tart-n-Tangy Room!

I want a bedroom like this one! Check out the Decor Elements!

Stampin' Up! Manhattan Flowers Bedroom

Isn’t this the calmest baby room! I love the colors. And look at the designs up above…I am thinking this might be NEW Decor Elements coming soon. This is not definite, just my guess.

The Crew…Some of my friends! You guys rock! Tiz, Kathy, Barbara, Judy, and I.

Convention Highlights Continued…

Posted by: | Comments (0)

I had the best time at Convention this year! I wanted to give you all an update each day, but networking didn’t work well each day and I didn’t fiddle with it too much because I was so busy having the time of my life!! Now that I am home I will still give you a day by day journal of my Convention experience.

July 30th was Check In Day. This is the most anticipated of all Convention days because we get to see what new stamp sets are in our convention bag, we had our FREE sneak peek catalog, and were able to shop at Momento Mall. What is Momento Mall? It is a shopping experience for demonstrators only. Usually all items in Momento Mall are only available for purchase during Convention.

The big dilemma on check-in day was which line to get in first…Momento Mall or Bag pickup to see the new catalog. We got in line for Momento Mall at 7:30 AM (doors open at 9AM) there were already hundreds of demos in line! Usually Momento Mall sells out fast and we didn’t want to miss purchasing something. Here are pics of what lines for Momento Mall looked like when we showed up:

Check out this crowd! I am in the bottom right of this pic talking to a few friends.

Here is Gwynne. She turned around at the perfect time when I was taking a shot of the lines!

Stampin' Up! Cool ShirtI didn’t have all my swaps done yet, so I continued to make them while I was in line. I thought it was a pretty good use of time! I came home with so many awesome swaps and I will have them all on display at my customer and hostess open houses. If you are in the Brimfield, MA area and interested in stopping by, contact me and I will give you all the details.

Check out this T-shirt! I thought it was the cutest, and might have to make one for myself!

Doors opened around 8:45 AM. Several demonstrators picked up their catalog first and came back in line. There was a demo in front of me with the new catalog and she was so nice to let a few of us look at it with her. Wait until you get to see the new catalog!

It is full of new stuff from : DSP, Ribbon, Simply Scrappin’ Kits, punches, stamp sets, and more. Sorry I can’t really share to many specifics with you until the 11th. If you attend my open house you will get a FREE copy of the Idea Book and Catalog! If you would like to pre-order it. Contact me I can send one to you for $5 plus shipping (FREE with a $50 order).

Stampin' Up! Momento MallMomento Mall was so great! I almost purchased one of everything! A photo frame to hold my picture with Shelli, chap-stick and stuffed animals for my kids, a beautiful hooded sweater, the art from the heart CD, a poster to frame and hang in my craft room (bedroom, LOL), and a few other items! The most popular were the matching project totes and camera cases. I picked up a camera case for myself. The pattern one of the new Designer series papers in the new catalog! I can’t wait to order it! Here is a picture in the Project tote. I picked one up for my friend Charlotte.

Stampin' Up! Project ToteAfter momento mall we went right to bag pickup. This year the convention bag was a beautiful messenger bag. I will show pics of that another day.

I will try to post again late night tomorrow, after the kids go to sleep. After being away for a week I need to spend some extra time with them! I hope you have enjoyed my Convention highlights so far…

Happy Stamping!
