Featured Stamper Challenge

Posted by: | Comments (0)

I had so much fun participating in the Featured Stamper Challenge last week! When I woke up this morning I turned on the computer, made coffee, and then sat down to check who the featured stamper was, and I was not disappointed of course…This week Featured Stamper is Veronica (aka: I’mVeronica). The Challenge (FS49) is to find a card in her gallery and CASE it. Here is the card I picked from her gallery. I really love the simple elegance to this card. So, here is my version:

Stampin' up! Artfully AsianFrom Veronica’s card I changed the ink colors and the flower image. Stamp sets used here are Artfully Asian and Warm Words. Both images are stamped with Always Artichoke Classic Ink on Whisper White Card Stock. The flowers are colored in with Pale Plum, Mellow Moss, and Brocade Blue Stampin’ Write Markers. Card stock is Whisper White and Mellow Moss.

Isn’t this a perfect card to make at a workshop! Thanks Veronica for the inspiration!

I hope you liked my Challenge card. Veronica has a great gallery for the beginner stamper to try the challenge this week. Her cards are beautiful but are not filled with too many layers or embellishments. So, even if you are a beginner and don’t have many supplies, check out her gallery and CASE a card. Send me a picture too! I would love to see it!

Open House Pictures

Posted by: | Comments (0)

As promised here are pictures of the Make-N-Takes that were made last night at my New Catalog Open House.

Stampin' Up! Time Well SpentThis is a quick and easy card using the “Time Well Spent” Hostess Set. It is a “Love Note” size card (3″x3″) which fits perfectly into the Mini Square Envelopes. Card stock colors are Taken With Teal, Whisper White, and Apricot Appeal. The sentiment is stamped with StazOn and colored with Certainly Celery and Apricot Appeal Stampin’ Write Markers. Holes for the silver brads were punched using the 1/16″ handheld circle punch. You might not be able to see it too well, but the small flower image is stamped repeatedly along the bottom of the card with Taken With Teal Classic Ink.

Stampin' Up! Happy Heart Day ValentineThis cute little valentine was created using products from the Valentine Bundle. These are so quick to make! Card stock colors are Regal Rose, Bashful Blue, and Whisper White. The Regal Rose Card Stock was attached to the Cello Bag with staples. Then Real Red 5/8″ Grosgrain was tied around to hide the staples! The image is simply colored with a Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker and punched using the Small Tag Punch. Bashful Blue was punched out using the Tag Punch. The tag hangs from the Real Red Grosgrain using White Embroidery Thread.

The Valentine Bundle is only available until the end of January. So, if you want to make some really quick Valentine projects contact me to order your Bundle TODAY! Oh, and don’t forget about my weekend special going on now!

New Stuff!

Posted by: | Comments (0)

OK, I don’t have a lot of time today. The kids have a half day and gymnastics this afternoon. But, I just HAD to post this picture! This is my first order from the new catalog and I am so excited!!!Can you tell?

Stampin' Up! New ProductI can’t wait to play with the Valentine’s Bundle. The Ginger Blossom DSP is even more beautiful than I expected. I ordered Flower Fusion and they look like they are going to be so much fun to use! Hopefuly I can keep my kids out of them (LOL).

I am most excited about the Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive! When I read about it in the catalog, it looked very similiar to the 2-way glue pen. So, I didn’t really understand why SU! would have 2 products that are so similiar? Well, let me tell you …this adhesive is nothing like the 2-way glue pen. It is more like the liquid glue…only better! It has the same set up as the liquid glue a precision tip and a wide tip (I like the Tombow wide tip a lot better though). The real difference between this glue and the retired liquid glue is that the Tombow can be temporary if you let it dry before adhering…OMG!!!

I was so bummed when SU! retired the liquid glue, because I used it so much for dazzling diamonds. I don’t really like the 2-way glue pen with dazzling diamonds applications. But now I have the Tombow Multi Purpose and it is even better than the original liquid glue! Sorry to go on and on but this is MY big WOW for this catalog! Hopefully I will be able to play sometime this weekend and I will post some more pictures with my new toys!

I will be posting an order special this weekend, sometime after my NEW Catalog Open House. SO keep checking back. Also, if you live in the Brimfield, MA surrounding area and would like to attend my open house please RSVP so I can have your FREE Catalog and goodies waiting for you!
