Happy Halloween

Stampin' Up! Glossy Cardstock Background Happy Halloween everybody! We just got back from Trick-or-Treating a few hours ago, and now the kids are in bed! What a day!

SO, I finally have time to post a card that we made at our first Marker Club meeting on Sunday. Every other month club members will learn 4 new techniques they can use with their new Stamp-n-Write Markers. On this card we used the markers to make a fabulous background on glossy cardstock. This technique is so much fun. It doesn’t matter how many backgrounds you create, no two are ever the same.

All other images are stamped using Black Staz-On. I love to use Staz-On with glossy card stock. On glossy you do have to be careful not to smudge the image as you stamp, the cardstock is very slippery.

If you would like to learn more about this technique and the 19 other techniques that can be used with our Stamp-N-Write markers, then you have to join the marker club! Yes, it has already started but there is still room for more! Contact me for more details…there is a color family of markers waiting for you!!

Happy Stamping!

My Favorite Stamp Set

Posted by: Jen | Comments (0)

Baroque Motifs Baroque Motifs is by far my favorite stamp set in the Fall/Winter Catalog! I have used it for so many cards and projects, it is so versatile!

This card is similar to a card that I had seen on Splitcoast Stampers a long time ago. This is a great card for weddings, anniversary, Thank you (if you change the “cherish” to “Kind”). The scan does not do it justice in my opinion.
The card base is Chocolate Chip Card stock, layered with River Rock. Images were stamped on River Rock Card stock in River Rock Classic Ink, and Chocolate Chip Classic Ink. The vertical strip is the “Brocade Background” Designer Series Paper (2″ x 4″). The main image is Stamped in River Rock Classic Ink on Very Vanilla Card Stock (2″ x 2″). The Ticket Corner Punch was used on the corners, and it was adhered to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Dazzling Diamonds Glitter was added to the center of the main image using the Liquid Glue.
